UTAH AUTHORS DAY SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3RD, 2022 – WE’RE BACK BIGGER THAN EVER!

UTAH AUTHORS DAY SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3RD, 2022 –

WE’RE BACK BIGGER THAN EVER!

Utah Authors Day was created in 2021 in collaboration with Utah Humanities and Governor Cox to recognize the unique community of authors we have within our state. This re-established the Utah State event, first created in the early 70s by the League of Utah Writers with Governors Rampton and Matheson. The League of Utah Writers and Utah Humanities are working together again this year on the first Saturday of December – December 3rd, 2022 celebrating the annual community event in 19 HOST LOCATIONS around the state with OVER 100 AUTHORS!

We have several bookstores and libraries ready to highlight our local talent with author signings, online and in-person prizes, meet and greets, and more.

See our current online prizes that will be running up to Utah Authors Day 2022 found here:

In-person drawings of books and journals will also be running at most of the locations listed below, so be sure and find a location closest to you for your chance to win a free prize.

Utah Authors Day 2022 is the perfect event for readers of all ages and genres looking to connect with their favorite author, for anyone looking to give the perfect Christmas gift for a reader they love, and the perfect event for a budding writer to get up close and talk to local authors about their writing journey.

League of Utah Writers

The League of Utah Writers is a vibrant writing community built on the backbone of local chapters throughout the state - from Cache Valley to Saint George - with many to choose from along the Wasatch Front. Founded in 1935, the League has grown into a strong network of writers and authors throughout the state. As a nonprofit organization, we strive to promote literacy and creativity through education, mentoring, and inclusivity accessible through our local chapters.

Utah Humanities

Utah Humanities is an independent non-profit established in 1975. With a small, dedicated staff and volunteer board of directors, we offer public humanities programs across the state that involve thousands of people and organizations. To do our work, we partner with organizations that want to improve their communities through the humanities. Our partnerships span Utah and focus on literature, heritage, education, conversations, and local humanities ideas. Our mission is to empower Utahns to improve their communities through active engagement in the humanities.
